A Winning Combination

Yesterday was Day One in the 44 Days of Pumpkin 2011 Challenge. Can I really call it a challenge when I a) love pumpkin and b) choose to do this? Ah, whatever. Challenge makes the title sound cooler and that is all that really matters.

Here is another question for you... Do you know what goes best with a pumpkin cookie? No. Because we are friends I will tell you - an appetizer of tailgating at a Broncos game followed by a tasty dish of Shannon Sharpe receiving his Hall of Fame ring at halftime, with a Broncos win for dessert. Yesterday was a pretty good day.

In preparation for the game on Sunday I made the cookies on Saturday evening. I had to adjust the batch size because I only had a small amount of butter and one egg. Don't judge - I know I need to go grocery shopping. I found the recipe for the cookies on Pinterest because I am addicted to Pinterest. Sure, it was basically the same recipe I used for the cookies I made in 2009 but it came from Pinterest so it was obviously better. But this is not a plug for Pinterest, this is a celebration of pumpkin! I made a few cookies with chocolate chips and few cookies without. I like variety... and I don't really like chocolate. Again, stop judging.

You can find the recipe that I used here:

I would be remiss if I did not give a shout out to my sous chef, Hendrix. He is so helpful...
Why yes, his bed is upside down.

One final question, is it just me or does Blogger suck a little these days? I had to reformat about five times.

See you tomorrow!
