Day 13

Pumpkin Ravioli, how I love thee.

Last night, after several long phone calls with loved ones from back home, Kristina and I walked to Whole Foods to investigate our pumpkin options. I had high hopes of making my own pumpkin ravioli but I was worried that I do not have the right tools. You know, like a rolling pin or a pasta/ravioli cutter. As we were wandering through the store discussing our kitchen supplies, I spied a package of pre-made pumpkin ravioli located above the fresh pasta in the refrigerated section. (Seattleites – it is located on the back wall near the wine section.) All I can say is, “yes, please – may I have another.” Seriously, pumpkin ravioli can call me anytime it wants to. I may get a separate number just for pumpkin ravioli.
Any who… tonight I have a hot date with Kristina & the Great Pumpkin Ale at the Elysian. Lucky Day 13 = pumpkin beer (that is a little known fact.) I am hoping that they have their pumpkin curry or pumpkin soup as the daily special, too. I report back!

Time for pictures of the real me (not the paint me) and some of my pumpkin creations:

Pumpkin Hummus Pizza!

Pumpkin Bread Pudding (with brown sugar)

Pumpkin Ravioli!!! (And yes, that is a stain on my shirt.)

  2. The arm that's on your hip in the above painting pictures scares me. It reminds me of that old school screen saver with all the pipes. Pipe arms.
