Although we’ve come, to the end of the road
Still I can’t let go…
Okay, maybe Boyz II Men is not appropriate in this situation but alas, this adventure is almost done. And you know what? I still like pumpkin. In fact, I like pumpkin even more than I thought did. Success!
Last night I made a wonderful Pumpkin and Asparagus Lasagna. Seriously, it was delicious. I used pumpkin puree instead of a baked pumpkin since you have to mash the pumpkin. Besides, I still have half a case of pumpkin puree that needs to be consumed. I also made another pumpkin cocktail – and this one was good. Real good. My bestie, Diane, informed me about a pumpkin liqueur that she mixed with vanilla vodka and hot cocoa. Needless to say, I was intrigued. I decided to mix the pumpkin liqueur with vanilla vodka and chai tea (since I don’t care for chocolate) and the result was a sweet treat.
This morning I picked up a dozen of Pumpkin Donuts from Mighty-O Donuts and a dozen random donuts to share with co-workers. I am asking people to make suggestions for my next “30 Days of _____” when they pick up their donut. Faithful followers, although I cannot send you a donut, I would like to hear your suggestions on how I can continue this culinary adventure.
I made the calendar below when I started this business and every day I have entered what I ate and where I got the recipe/item. Yes, I know I am crazy. And I know you can not read it, but I wanted to share with everyone how I have recorded my daily pumpkin intake.

Thank you for reading!!!
I'm glad neither one of us turned into a pumpkin in this adventure. What about 30 days of artichoke for the next round? I guess that might not be really good in any cocktails, though. I'll keep thinking.
ReplyDeleteP.S. The pumpkin donut was a little round nugget of heaven. If only the Mighty-O donut guy (or his wife) would keep their kids under control.
